A huge part of what we do includes storytelling & taking the time to research the depth of place names & local history.  In the recent school holidays we spent the first week painting in Kaikohe presenting the origin of the town name in our signature #birdgang style.

Many don't understand the difference between street art/murals & graffiti.  Graffiti is a letter based art form using colour, flow, bits & highlights all to produce a 'piece' (abbreviation of masterpiece).

We have been painting graffiti for 20 & 25 years and over time this art form as evolved from illegal visual communication to full time careers & global design opportunities.  We are in the early stages of organising some workshops for adults who may be interested...
