School holidays + road trip + cousins & friendships = mural at Ngongotaha Primary School!
The fun part about we do is that we get to cram everything we do into a weekend, a car & out comes a mural that incorporates the stories of a space & the heart of a school. Once housing the native school, the building was a significant site for a work that incorporates the Korimako (Bellbird) & the poutama design that speaks about obtaining knowledges & wisdom. A design style that blends into the colourful environment of the kura, the end result was a simple yet bold statement for the students to come back to after the holidays.
Thank you to Dean Henderson & our cuzzie Francis for making this, the kids had heaps of fun hanging with their cousins & watching the mural unfold!
