Winners of the 2019-2020 NBA Championship

Although a majority of our work is native birdlife & contemporary indigenous design, portraits are definitely part of our toolkit and something we bring out now and then.

A partner project with The Dowse Art Museum - 'Tūmanako' (Hope) is a visual statement sending hope to a city that is in early stages of redeveloping its unique identity. Funded by the Lower Hutt City Council Riverlink Project, it speaks of the return of Kereru once known to flock in huge numbers around the local area. A sign of hope, of restoration & return - thank you to everyone who helped to make this project happen.

Our art collective TMD Crew will be exhibiting at The Dowse in April 2021. Establishing local connections & networks is an important aspect of the wider scope of the event, the murals & workshops that have been designed all aim to strengthen those ties with local residents, Iwi and the artists involved & are stage 1.

Thank you to everyone who helped to bring this to life - Pippa Anderson, Paki Maaka (Hutt City Council), local kaumatua Kura Moeahu & Karl Citham (Director The Dowse). Images by Mirella Moschella.

Towards the end of 2019 we painted the first of 2 Starbucks projects we have been involved with. Deciding on imagery that uses flora & fauna from coffee bean source countries, this mural celebrates the origins of coffee production taking it back to its most natural form.

Thanks to the team at Starbucks NZ who have been busy revamping their local stores including commissioned art work and pieces from creatives all over the country. Go check it our and if you do make sure to tag us @charlesjaninewilliams on Instagram #birdgang #charlesjaninewilliams.
